SHOCKING NEWS!!! EastEnders reveals Kathy Beale’s role in huge wedding storyline

EastEnders‘ Vicki Fowler and Ross Marshall are set to celebrate their wedding next week but the bride is holding on to a huge secret. Viewers know that Vicki slept with Zack Hudson, and while Ross is aware she previously cheated, he has no idea that his best man is the mystery guy.

With her nuptials looming, Vicki is going to need all the support she can get from her friends and family on the Square.

EastEnders reveals Kathy Beale's role in the huge wedding storyline 👀

Speaking ahead of the big day Alice Haig, who plays Vicki, has shared that Kathy Beale will be there for her as she struggles with her guilt over Zack.

“[Vicki] opens up to Kathy this week and says how guilty she is feeling,” Alice explained. “In a way that really helps because she finds a bit more sense as to why this has happened.

“She gets an insight into what’s going through her mind, because she realises the part of what drew her to Zack was him being not linked to Joel and moreover her regaining some kind of control over her life and her body after everything that happened with Joel.

“That is a huge moment for her, from that point in the week she starts to think ‘I have so made the right decision and I cannot wait to marry this man’.”

Vicki is missing having her adoptive half-sister Sharon around but Kathy is willing to step up and fill the void.

“Vicki is going to need all the family she can get,” Alice added. “Kathy really steps up this week, she’s there before it starts, on the morning of the wedding is sorting the marquee, organising the flowers, she’s got her clipboard she’s ready and providing a lot of support for Vicki. Got Mark as well.

“A tight knit family group, Ian is around helping out a bit. Everyone has rallied round to make this wedding happen.”

Alice also teased that Vicki’s choice of dress will be something a little different for an Eastenders bride.

“The dress was really fun, it’s like getting married in real life, you have to choose the dress!” Alice said.

“Obviously it has to be right for Vicki, not me. We went through loads of options and thought ‘no that’s more for another character’, we settled on something that is kind of classic and simple but a little bit different, not maybe what you’d always expect from an EastEnders wedding dress. It’s really lovely actually.”
