EastEnders’ Oscar Branning to face dilemma as love triangle drama escalates

EastEnders’ Oscar Branning struggles not to give in to temptation with Josh Goodwin next week – but can he keep his hands off his girlfriend Jasmine Fisher’s twin brother?

The trio start the week by relaxing on the grass and playing one of Jasmine and Josh’s favourite childhood games. However, while the twins feel happy about their growing bond, Oscar is secretly unsettled over his attraction to both of them…

“Although it seems like a merry scene in the park from an outside perspective, Oscar is facing inner turmoil,” says our Walford source. “He’s torn between his girlfriend and her brother, and no matter how hard he tries to fight his feelings, he can’t get rid of his attraction to Josh.”

During the game, Jasmine discovers that Josh continued to play it with his adoptive mother Sandra after Jasmine was kicked out of the house and taken in by another family, leaving her feeling betrayed by her brother.

As Jasmine storms off in a huff, Josh is racked with guilt over his past actions, so Oscar attempts to comfort him. Getting closer, the two boys share a charged moment…

“Alone without Jasmine, sparks fly between Josh and Oscar,” teases our insider. “Oscar’s conscience gets the better of him though, and he pulls away from Josh before any damage is done. For the first time, Oscar realises that he can’t be friends with Josh if he wants to stay with Jas – the chemistry is too strong!”

Later, sheepish Oscar and Josh decide to put some distance between them to make sure no one gets hurt. Oscar’s cousin Penny witnesses the suspicious exchange though and demands to know what’s going on between them.

While Oscar tells Penny the entire sorry tale, Josh flirts with another man at The Albert – making Oscar positively green-eyed with jealousy!

“Oscar knows that he shouldn’t be jealous of Josh’s love life, but he can’t help himself!” says our source. “Josh is a young single lad and should be able to get it on with whoever he wants without Oscar’s input – if Oscar wants a say in that, he needs to tell Josh exactly how he feels…”

Despite their best attempts to get over their fling, can Oscar and Josh really stay away from each other? And what will happen if feisty Jasmine finds out about their past passion?
