Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon forced into unexpected denial over photos

Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon was forced into making an unexpected denial as she took to social media with a string of throwback photos.

Samia, who is famed for playing Maria Windass – nee Connor and Sutherland – in the ITV soap, marked 25 years since she made her debut in May last year. She first arrived in Weatherfield in 2000, having beaten Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh and Hear’Say star Suzanne Shaw to land the role.

She was originally a kennelmaid at Sutherland’s Kennels and was brought into the Weatherfield fold when she agreed to marry Tyrone, after he proposed atop Blackpool Tower. But in a quarter of a century on the cobbles, Maira has been involved in some shocking Weatherfield moments.

And it was at the end of last month that Samia was seen teasing what’s ahead for Maria as she took to social media with a string of new snaps. Samia was seen giving fans a glimpse at what she had been up to on and off the cobbles as she posted the photos on Instagram.

But it was in the first two images that she was seen posing in her dressing room at Corrie’s Salford-based set, wearing a sparkling hot pink dress in both. Alongside the post, which also included photos of her and her husband, Sylvain Longchambon. attending and M&S food event, Samia wrote: “Some from the roll this week.. It’s been a full one.”

Now, the soap star has taken to social media with a different post, as she decided to look back at her changing look over the years, from her early days as part of the showbiz world, thanks to her role on the famous street, to now, mainly showing the revolution of he fringe over the years.

Captioning the post, Samia wrote: “Jumping on the bang-wagon [laughing face emoji] set by @reesewitherspoon @jenniferaniston. I’ve never knowingly been fringe-less since I was 17.. here’s #thegoodthebadandtheugly special mention to the bad decision that was slide 4 #wth #bangs #hair.”

But it was one of the first comments that Samia found herself responding to as the follower wrote: “Why are people changing their beautiful teeth for veneers or fake teeth!!! So sad!” The soap star then confirmed: “I don’t have veneers..??”
