Vicki Fowler and her new partner Ross were left panicked on EastEnders this week, as they revealed they needed to get their hands on some cash.

Sharon Watts was their target, while the specific reason they needed the money wasn’t given away – only that they are clearly in some sort of debt. Ross talked of being “in the clear” as soon as they can get their money. So it seems they owe someone money or have done something to warrant them paying someone cash.

Ross said they had no choice but to find the money fast, suggesting this was their true reason for being in Walford. Vicki had reunited with her sister Sharon as they mourned Vicki’s uncle Martin Fowler ahead of his funeral next week. But she may have an ulterior motive for being with her sister again, as hinted by Ross in the closing moments of Tuesday’s visit to Walford.

Vicki made it clear to her man that they were going to be leaving back to Australia as soon as the funeral was over. Ross was happy about this but made a comment that hinted that the pair were in big trouble.
Ross told Vicki they needed money, and it didn’t seem like they wanted it for no good reason. But the scene left fans confused as it appeared to be revealed they’d left Australia for Walford to find someone who would get them the cash they need.
But this in itself seemed to be a costly blunder for the pair, who were joined by Ross’ teen son Joel. Viewers pointed out that if they needed money so badly, how could they afford three tickets to London?
Martin only died weeks earlier meaning the flight tickets were quite a recent purchase, so more likely to be expensive too. So why would Vicki and Ross shell out on three one-way flights to England from Australia if they didn’t have the money to pay the debt?

It also left fans wondering how much they owed to warrant such a trip. We took a look for today’s flights and they did range from around £1,400 to around £5,000 for three people depending on the flight, the day and where in Australia they were traveling from.
Taking to social media one fan questioned: “How much money do they owe? Last minute flights for all 3 of them must have cost at least £3,000.” Another said: “Yeah doesn’t make sense lol,” as a third fan posted: “Exactly what I thought!”
A further comment read: “Well if he’s willing to spend thousands of pounds for the three of them to travel from Australia to England either he’s not very smart, or it’s a big enough debt to warrant it!”
