EastEnders spoilers: Mark kidnapped, Denise’s cancer plot and Nigel’s funeral
Spoilers for EastEnders next week have teased dramatic scenes with a kidnapping ordeal.
It’s the day of Nigel Bates’ funeral too, as Walford gathers to remember him and say goodbye – with the return of two familiar faces as well. Amid this, Mark Fowler Jr finds his debt drama leading to him being attacked and kidnapped.
It sparks a rescue mission for the Mitchells but will he be saved? Elsewhere secrets remain hidden, lies could be exposed, and there is concern for one character.

It seems Denise Fox’s cancer plot will be starting, as her her symptoms continue following the news she would be diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in an upcoming storyline. There are also big scenes for the Brannings as Max has a warning for daughter Lauren.
Max learns some vintage cars from the car lot have been found burned in a quarry, but when Lauren questions Mark he denies involvement. Sam gives him a fake alibi, leaving Max hurt when he’s accused.

Later, Mark continues manipulating Lauren into the possibility of dealing with illegitimate cars as her financial pressures grow. Meanwhile, Grant reveals he has sold his bar in Portugal and will soon have the funds to help, but Mark rejects him.
Things take a turn though when Mark is suddenly bundled into a van by masked men and driven off, while Max asks Jack to look into Mark and the cars. On the day of Nigel’s funeral, Grant is worried about Mark when he gets a call from Russell demanding full payment.

It’s soon revealed Russell has a history with Sam too. As the Mitchell siblings set off to find Mark, a tense standoff breaks out. When they return to Walford they join the others at Nigel’s funeral for an emotional farewell.
The trouble isn’t over for Mark though when Max finds his keys at the car lot. He soon warns Lauren as he questions where the cars came from.
Elsewhere, Jasmine, Josh and Oscar bond, but a charged moment sees Josh and Oscar agreeing to keep a distance. Finally, Gina expresses concern about Eddie and Denise continues to spark concern with her health.

It’s another big week for residents in Albert Square, so expect drama. Secrets could be exposed and some big changes could be ahead, as characters move on from recent goings on.
