Emmerdale lines up surprise passionate twist for Ross and Laurel
Emmerdale‘s Ross Barton finds himself in demand next week, when Gabby Thomas tries to seduce him just as sparks fly between him and Laurel.
Scantily-clad Gabby decides to make her move after weeks of heavily hinting that she’s interested in Ross, unaware that she’s got competition from her stepmum.
Meanwhile, Laurel is taken by surprise as she finds herself drawn to the village bad boy after a heated row…
“Ross and Laurel only start talking because she’s warning him off Gabby, which she doesn’t realise is a pointless activity as he’s not remotely interested,” explains our Emmerdale source.
“Rather than being infuriated by her meddling, Ross finds the whole thing quite sexy. The subsequent banter gives them both quite a thrill.”

Earlier in the week, smitten Gabby gets completely the wrong message when Ross invites her to meet him. When she arrives for the rendezvous, it transpires that Ross wants her to become a dance partner for Sam Dingle.
Later, as Ross oversees a dance class, Laurel thinks that he’s eyeing up her stepdaughter and gives him a piece of her mind. She’s not impressed that someone of Ross’s age and criminal back catalogue is circling around vulnerable Gabby.
However, when Ross bites back at Laurel, the chemistry is so electric that it’s enough to power Hotten’s annual Christmas lights.
“Given that her last boyfriend was running a modern slavery operation, Ross’s antics look like child’s play,” continues our spy. “That doesn’t stop Laurel from feeling utterly ridiculous that she’s developing a thing for a lad who is much younger and is every shade of naughty. But secretly, Laurel’s quite thrilled by his attention, even though she tries to fight it.”
While Laurel is playing hard to get, Gabby has the opposite strategy. After confiding in Lewis Barton that she has the hots for his brother, Gabby decides it’s time to lay her cards on the table. So, it’s off with her clothes, and on with the sexy lingerie!
Ross is more than taken aback when she makes a move but kindly lets Gabby down. As she is left mortified and rejected, Gabby has no idea that she has a rival for Ross’s affections – and that Laurel could be about to get very lucky indeed…
